North Wales Yacht Charters

Rates & Bookings

BOOKING A CHARTER

To make a booking, please check the availability of the yacht, either by telephone or e-mail. We will then hold that boat for you for a period of seven days, to allow the return of the completed booking form, along with a booking deposit . The booking deposit is £100 per boat, per week, or part of a week.
No booking can be considered firm, until this deposit has been paid.

We will contact you a month before the date of your charter to finalise booking arrangements. The balance of the charter fee, should be with us,
not less than four weeks before the start date, along with a security deposit of £750 per boat.  The security deposit is required, to cover minor losses, damage, breakages and fuel used (if not replaced).

Our Conditions of Charter are sent out with each booking form. Signing the bottom of the booking form means that you agree to be bound by the Conditions for the purposes of the charter.

START OF CHARTER

A member of staff will go through the boat systems with the skipper, whilst his deputy checks the inventory.

We do ask the crew not to load baggage and provisions until after the hand over has taken place. Any shortages / breakages must be brought to our attention during the hand over period.

Once the hand over is completed, it is assumed that everything was handed over in full working order and you will be asked to sign a document to this effect.

All yachts are handed over with full tanks (fuel & fresh water), one full gas bottle and one gas bottle in use. Customers must re-fill the fuel and water tanks to capacity at Conwy Marina prior to handing the yacht back to us.

END OF CHARTER

On the last day of charter yachts must be cleaned and ready for hand back at the agreed time.

If you do not wish to clean the yacht yourself, or if you fail to hand over the yacht in a satisfactory condition, we will provide a chargeable cleaning service.

A member of our staff will go through the inventory and technical equipment with the skipper once your crew have vacated themselves and their baggage from the yacht.

Security deposits are usually returned within a week after the end of the charter period once any deductions for breakages, damage or cleaning have been subtracted.

In the event that we need to make a deduction, you will be notified in advance.

WHO CAN CHARTER?

It is essential that all prospective customers are able to handle the yacht and look after their crew responsibly.

The minimum level of competence required for smaller yacht’s, is two people to have Day skipper Practical (tidal). One should also hold a DSC VHF Radio Operator’s Licence.

Larger yachts require more people with qualifications or higher qualifications to meet our requirements. Please check your crew strength with our office before booking.

If you are unable to find suitable qualified crew, why not consider hiring a skipper at the cost of £100.00 per day.
